Does anyone know if the new X-Talon 212 and 190 colours here (http://www.inov-8.com/New/Global/Product-View-XTalon-212-Black-Orange-Blue.html?L=26)...

Does anyone know if the new X-Talon 212 and 190 colours here and here are just that, ie just new colours or are there any other changes ?

I assumed it was just colour changes, but mentions here of new models coming out soon.

Would it not be strange to change the colours on an outgoing model if a new model coming out very shortly ?

Me and the Missis recently purchased a couple of 15 litre rucksacks (OMM and Inov8) for doing a trail marathon with, but now/instead we've got our eye on doing the OMM in the Brecons (D or C class).

What size rucksack and brand would you advise for this? Or would just a regular 35 litre rucksack do the job?

I'm not completely new to this kind of thing; I'm an ex squaddie; but I'd be interested in reading your views.

So are Mudclaws narrower then x-talon or about the same? I wouldn't bother with inov-8 shoes as my vivobarefoots are perfect for 90% of everything but lack grip for wet steep stuff.

Hi all,
I am looking for recommendations for a small bum bag please.
I already have a Lowe alpine Fjell runner bag which I use for longer runs, but on shorter fell races I don't need as big a bag.
I have a minimus top and featherlite pants which probably take up 0.5L max. Any suggestions for smaller bags?

Has anyone tried either of the following?
http://www.simplyrun.co.uk/products/...ac&fo_s=gplauk

I think this will be too small.
http://www.sportsshoes.com/product/U.../#product-tabs

Thanks

I've never owned a proper running waterproof before, i normally just get rained on. But partly due to race kit lists and partly brushes with winter mountain weather, i finally bought an OMM kamleika. Tested it today in mild/steady rain and was soaked to the skin in less than an hour. Shouldn't a £130 jacket be a bit better than that? Am i being naive? I wasn't sure if it was letting in rain or whether it was just sweat. I know breathability won't work in 100% humidity, would wearing a wicking layer between skin and waterproof help? I guess they would be good for keeping warm in very windy, very cold, wet conditions, but apart from that, if they make you so wet that you can't tell whether they are waterproof, then what are they for? And what does an expensive one do that a cheap one doesn't?
