Bruce's Crown Race

A few of you may remember this race of old, I believe it hasn't ran since 2006 but has been resurrected this year! Organised by Nicky spinks, with the assistance of Galloway Mountain Rescue Team, the race is for teams of four. You will navigate your way round the Galloway hills over the southern peaks of Lamarchan to Cairngarroch, then along the Rhinns of Kell, taking in Corserine, to finally cut across to the north end of the Range of the Awful Hand and finishing up on the highest peak in Galloway, the Merrick, before descending to the finish. The "perfect" route is measured at 46 miles with 4600m of ascent, there's a 24 hour time limit to complete the route. All profits of the race will go to Galloway Mountain Rescue Team.
