Re: Lancs Junior Fell Champs
Just double checking to be sure is this online entry only or is there entry on the day?
Re: Lancs Junior Fell Champs
There is entry on the day Al, but if you were there last year you will remember that we had over 500 entries and they were overwhelmed - even running out of entry slips.
So we have online entry set up - and I would encourage athletes to use it.
Re: Lancs Junior Fell Champs
It's a popular race:
Lancs Senior & Junior champs
FRA English Junior Champs
Lancs Inter Counties selection
A counter in the Pennine Moors Inter Club Champs (incl. CLeM, Tod, Rochdale and Pendle AC).
Also likely to be a club counter for quite a few (e.g. it's a Whardefale Sen and Junior club counter).
etc, etc?

Although I'm Lancs Fell secretary, wherever we hold the Lancs Fell Champs is unlikely to add that many to the numbers although hopefully that will change in time - if you asked me to guess I would say that last year we had somewhere between 10 and 30 that attended due to it being a Lancs Senior Champs.
This year it clashes with Rivington which is sure to hit the numbers a little.
I'm quite happy to have the event at Pendle so long as David is happy for us to piggy back the event - Pendle would seem the natural home for Lancashire Fell running.
Re: Lancs Junior Fell Champs
Just bumping it back up - please use the online entry if you are planning to race.

Re: Lancs Junior Fell Champs
Hi Everyone,
Online entries closed now so it will have to be entries on the day for everyone else.
David is short of a couple of helpers, particularly around the start / finish or if you prefer on course he can juggle the team around a little, so if anyone is coming along and prepared to lend a hand, please just come and find David around the village hall on Saturday morning.

Just a quick note to say thanks to David Bailey & his team for organising Pendle so well, and also to Richard Taylor for helping out with entries.
There was some very strong racing in evidence and the club competiton looks very close. I've had some very positive feedback from both experinced juniors and a number of juniors for whom this was their first ever fell race, they had a fantastic day & are now keen to complete the series & get their hoodies!
Well done to everyone who raced and thanks again David & Clayton Le Moors for putting on a great event & kicking off this years Junior Championship so well.
