Western States 2012

The race is about half way done, mile 50 for the leaders. Weather is cool for California with some rain.

In Kilian's absence, any one of the top US runners could come through for the win. Mike Wolfe leads at the moment with Dave Mackey, Timmy Olsen and Ryan Sandes from South Africa in close attendance.

Lizzy Hawker set off in the Top 10 but her lead is shrinking fast as Ellie Greenwood closes in.
