Evening, Bill - glad tonight went OK, especially as Mytholmroyd now under water! Top road to Old Town in the morning?

Well that was horrific, kind of reminds me why I dont run that much anymore....It'll take another 18 months for me to pluck up the courage to turn upto a race again. See you all at AUld Lang Syne 2013 folks

Well done Max and Kate - Heptonstall provides CVFR with 1st male and 1st female - sorry we missed the prize giving- we retreated back to the high ground to toast them in the White Lion before the roads were closed. Trying to persuade Kate to do the other 2 races as she has a good chance for the series now....

Setting of in about 45 mins - Reservoir bogs - probably the best named race in the calendar :)

Main road in Mytholmroyd is still closed according to the travel news link that Manhar posted.
So yes, take the top road!
For anyone coming from Sowerby Bridge direction, turn right off the main road at Luddendenfoot and go through Midgley towards Pecket Well.
Sounds like Todmorden is open though, so should be OK coming from that direction.

Cheers, Bill, but after the cancellation of today's Harden Moss race, I'll be heading up to Clougha Pike with the kids for the Junior English Champs! At least I'll be able to wear wellies - no bogs for me! Hope it goes well.
Re: midsummer madness races
Just had news that the main road through Mytholmroyd is now open.
