Re: Heptonstall Recce 29th Jan
Thanks Sarah. 2 weeks to go - hope the snow's gone by M day!
Re: Heptonstall Recce 29th Jan
reccied a bit of it today and it was just fabbo.
I tried (foolishly?) to get to Standing Stone Hill without using my map and compass, consequently ended up on the Pennine Way d'oh!
Will also confess to missing out the Walshaw loop and also the climb up to Heptonstall - 3 pints in the Blue Pig were more of a prioirity!
Nice day out in the snow tho, set off from mine in Hebden at 9, jobs a goodun!

Envious! I had an enforced weekend off running. 3 pints before the final climb? Or did you take the more direct route back to your house???
Re: Heptonstall Recce 29th Jan
heh heh, the more direct mile home route I'm afraid Trig.
Mind you, I can hear the distant rumbling of another challenge appearing. Something to do with drinking perhaps in H, then leg it down to the Blue Pig along the easy bridalway, then after a beer (or few), back up the stairs to original pub!
Hmmmmmmmmmm
