Hadn't realised the entry forms are out. Better get mine sent off. Can't be missing the rather fine free beer, now can I?

:o
Free beer ! Do my cyber ears deceive me:eek:
Pint a mile Stick:D
Was thinking a long the lines of a pint a mile, would be interesting to see runners crossin the line after 11 and half, would be like that marathon du murdoc (or whatever its called) on fells:p
Not sure I'd finish that one...:o
I once played a chess tournament (in a pub) 5 games (30 mins each) in the evening with a pint to the winner of each match. So after 4 games I played someone else who'd won 4 out of 4. I lost the last game but to someone else who went to the match in the same car as me and 3 others (we did have one non-player!). Crap game but we won 1st and 2nd prize...hence 60 tins of Worthington E as I recall in the car on the way home... (could have been Taylors but hey, least it was effectively free :) )
I might do who wants to take me on :D
I'm in!!
I do fancy this one and have it in the diary, it looks so atmospheric. But I'm doing the 3 peaks the weekend after. Could it be good prep. or do you think I could be pushing it? :(
Anniversary Waltz on Saturday & Paddy's Pole on Sunday. Should be a good weekend!
Im doing anny waltz and three peaks, Im not taking any races seriously till later in the summer. I just not up to fitness
Anny waltz was my first ever lakeland fell race.
Cant do this one, got to go to cousins wedding instead
did it last year and loved it, even though i got injured at around half way
will be back to do it properly in 2008
Unfortunately I take everything seriously, hence the dilema, although that's not reflected in my results!
I'm still to do a race in the lakes which is another reason why I really fancy it.
Knowing that other folk are doing both is encouraging, I best join in too.
Travelling from Derbyshire to all these races - I'm never going to be carbon neutral!
If im not fit, theres nothing like a trot round a race as long run with a hundred other people, better than misisng out on races altogether.
number 59!!:D
I'm in - plus doing Allendale the week before and 3 Peaks the week after (and probably my funeral the week after !!) . I am competitive but don't have the talent to be so - just getting round will be reward enough. As this is all done from Haddington, 20 miles east of Edinburgh I am deep into carbon deficit country.
AW is a great race but last year with 600 runners it was a bit of a jamboree. As it is not a championship this year it should be more of a good old Lakeland country gathering.
See you there.
I'll be having a go at this one..... this will be my first Lakeland race. I'm not up to speed fitness wise but i should drag myself round :o
Hi - just to let you all know the beer is ordered and the cakes are being decided,:D why are fell runners slim they have no right to be:p
nice one Wynn looking forward to doing this one, more cakes the better;)
How about double beer brother (or cakes sister) for sub-2hour runs...? :D (or is it just that them who finish early can grab them's for those that don't...:( ). Hey, good perfromance incentive though...? *
* Someone save me a beer and a cake can yus...:o
Are you not camping with the rest of us?
Are you refering to that infamous marquis.
Sounds like a marquee where AllanT would like to do it with intent. :rolleyes:Quote:

By the way, hope you've been out since Sunday. I had a little jog round yesterday....;) (Probably means I'm tail-end charlie at the Hare & Hounds run tomorrow night! :o )
p.s. I emailed Graham just before with a Troutbeck report for our web page. I thought I'd better write one before you did
