I did a variation on this route on Saturday. Starting from Hayfield rather than Edale, then missing out the descent to the YHA and climb of Jagger's Clough because I wanted to be back in time for the rugby! (I also went straight up Ringing Roger, instead of Grindsbrook).
It was a great day out and I measured it at about 35km and 2000m ascent, so shaved a fair bit off the full stats (which I think is about 43km and 2500m). Took me about 5.5 - 6hrs.
right
provisionally this Friday (28th Feb.) 8am start from Edale
I'll be looking at 8.5 hrs if all goes well
if weather forecast deteriorates might cancel
Will, spen - any good to you?
tomorrow not looking good weather-wise, so am postponing to Sunday
(taking Monday off work to recover!)
