Who's doing this on saturday ?
What shoes are you wearing ? Noticed that the kit list stipulates fell shoes suitable for the terrain. Was going to use trail shoes but presumably these won't be allowed.

aye up there SP!
i'd have thought trail shoes would be better..i couldn't wear fell shoes for that long
Ay up dave, me neither but they say you need : Fell running shoes that in the organisers opinion are fully suitable for the type of rough terrain that will be encountered.
Looking forward to this one tho. Are you having an outing over to cracken edge tomorrow ?
Just had a quick look at the route, looks like it would be fine for trail shoes.
I think Dark and White are saying that about footwear so those not used to that kind of terrain don't turn up completely unprepared with road shoes. A decent pair of trail shoes are fine for that sort of ground and distance.
I suppose you could take fell shoes just in case?
I fancied this when it was first announced, put it in my diary, started a thread on here way back in April then largely forgot about it. An ultra in the Peak - I'm very temped ;)
I'm in
Is it a bit early to start carbo-loading? :D
I only entered this morning. Much the same, I was interested at the start of year of a new event in the Peak, forgot all about it until this thread started.
I blame Safety Pin if I have a bad day :)
Haha. Thanks for your replies - mailed the organiser who said trail shoes are fine so long as grips are good. Still bringing my mudclaws in case though.
Inov-8 315s and a Keighley vest for me ;)
