We will keep all the sheep locked up then ! :D
I was born in the West Riding of Yorkshire but have spent most of my life in Lancashire/Greater Manchester. My earliest Yorky memories were of waiting for the result of the Roses match :D

I'm the other way round: born in the East Midlands but been living in West Riding for nearly eight years now. My earliest (resident) Yorky memory is possibly drinking Black Sheep in the Fleece and thinking 'this isn't too bad. I reckon I could get used to this' :closed:
...followed by a jolly canter up Beamsley Beacon, no doubt -
not a bad way to start being a yorkshireman, DT!
Happy Yorkshire day folks. But lets not celebrate too hard, I wouldn't want us to be seen showing off too much.... ;)
Best Yorkshire anecdote I ever heard from a patient, this is a true story! He was at a cricket match in Lancashire and overheard two Yorkshire Tykes arguing, one was being pretty aggressive and saying "thou this, thou that..."to one tyke, the other tyke stopped him in his tracks and said " Don't thee thou me, thou thees them as thous thee!"
Awesome!
We had a splendid run out 'over the border' followed by a refreshing pint or two of fine Yorkshire ale. Nice to see Aunt Sally and Gaz out too :closed:
