That is precisely the point...
Some food for thought there, many thanks everybody.
I have remembered that I have some 'walking trousers' somewhere that I bought from Lidl, except they're not walking trousers at all becuase they have a very high lycra content which makes them look ridiculous as trousers. However, I reckon if I get the missus to convert them to britches they might be just the thing for a more modest option to tights for running on a cold day.
Re: Trouserage - options?
I've got some of the inov8 Mistlite pants too. I rarely put them on, unless it's very windy and I'm already wet, but they do seem fine to run in. they are elasticated round the bottom of the leg so they don't flap about too much.

The ard men of the fells discussing what their tackle looks like in tights!
Re: Trouserage - options?
when it's cold and wet the #ard men of the fells wear their manhood on their sleeve, not in their pants (as it's headed north!)

If you're ever running in the hills on a bitingly cold day and see a chap running wearing only one glove..... I know what he's using the other glove for :)

I can't find any margarine with taped seams - can anyone recommend a good brand of taped margarine?
