MM tent choice advice

Dilemma:

for this year's OMM, my first, settled on Terra Nova Laser.

Available via Sportsdirect ebay outlet(new model,competition2, 2 doors, 1.2kg) for £264.99

Some on ebay 2nd hand going for £180 or thereabouts(old model)

However the (Terra Nova) Wild Country Zephyros 2 - same shape + manufacurer as the Laser but less features, sl.heavier at 1.6kg is £150 new, or £99.99 via sportsdirect on ebay


So, new Laser, old Laser, or new Zephyros?

Subject to how much you're willing to spend, I'd say go lighter every time. If you're happy the second hand job will be in good nick, go for that. 400g is a lot of extra weight.

I've seen the Laser Comp 1 listed as a 1-2 man tent. In reality is this the case? Looking at doing a 2-man OMM in France this year and was curious if it'd be up to it?

Laser Comp 1 ooks a bit tight to me on the spec for 2!
As it's my first going for comfort over speed, but still want to have a good weekend and not get worn out. Or wear out the wallet!
At the moment I'm considering stumping up for the Laser Comp 2 new, unless someone can tell me the Zephyros is worth the weight/price/ no 2nd door trade-off.
How useful is a 2nd door anyway?
The Zephyros is slightly bigger inner tent, but same size outer, and hence sl.smaller porch area
