ebay - how does it work?....
OK, I'm confused. I've not bought anything on ebay before (I know, I know...)
I just submitted a bid for an item that was sitting at 404.06, and I was told I had to bid at least 416.06, so I bid 430... but the minute I submitted the bid I was informed I'd been outbid... here's the bid history...

It looks like it could be something like E-Snipe, where a programme detects someone bidding and as long as the person bidding (bidder 3) has set a higher amount, it automaticallys bids in with the original bid at the time the person (bidder 3) first put it on. You can only out bid it by going over the maximum amount set in Bidders 3 programme, which unfortunately one cannot predict. I think it is called 'phishing' isn't it?
Re: ebay - how does it work?..
Blody hell, its one expensive copy of SMOTS!!!!
You can put in a maximum bid and then it wont show up until someone out bids your last try. Interesting to watch. Use bidbullet.com You can decide how much you are willing to pay for the item. Add the info to the site after paying for your bullets. (You used to get three free when you signed up) Then sit back knowing that if you win great and if you dont at least it went passed what you were prepared to pay for the item.
What you bidding on?

My knees are giving me problems at the moment so I'm trying to do some other sports to keep fit.
Yeah, it looks like someone else has a maximum bid on it. Starting to understand this ebay lark...
