    Have you read Fowler page 708 (Second Edition) on Who and Whom?

    As I read him he supports my usage for the written form as distinct from talk.

    God bless Fowler (and Gowers). I've had a look at p708, and my eyes began to bleed when he begins to talk about the interrogative being governed by a verb.

    I tend to think of the forum as a nice chat, so the talk version will do me....

    It's good to know that at least two Forum posters can spell solecism.
