    Sit ups question

Right i do 100 sit ups a day and 25 reverse crunches yet i still dont have what you would call a great shape in fact im a bit chubby. . So my question is what should i do?
    Should i do more?
Should i do different ones- i already do core stability work and weights twice a week?

Now the XOTF lot and those who no me may point out my diet isnt exactly perfect so does that need to change or can increasing the amount/intensity rectify this?

    Cheers

Forget the sit ups & crunches and see if you can get sponsored by Burger King or Mc Donalds.

When doing sit ups try bringing your knees closer to your chest its gives much better results but boy its a lot harder.
I ran and ran until my Muscles burned and my veins pumped battery acid, ....And then i ran some more.

    How well unholstered are you?
You may just have a very shy 6 pack under there!
The race is long and in the end, it's only with yourself.......

    I used to have a six-pack, but now it's a whole keg.
Does my bum look big in this?

    Re: Sit ups question

TT, probably as chugger says the olds ab are fine, just hiding a bit

but there are all sorts of different ab-exercises to keep the interest up, if you get bored of the straight sit-ups and reverse crunches - not sure what most of them are called, they just put us through them in the military fitness classes: toe-touches, v-sits, alternate v-sits, marvin haglers, leg raises etc etc.

Also they do a lot of 'holding positions' - like, bum on the ground, legs straight, holding feet six inches up, and then lowering and raising the upper body, but holding each position for five seconds. Agony. And probably not very good for the lower back.

    Re: Sit ups question

circuit training - best way to get some flab off and tone muscles at same time, in my opinion

in combo with a few hundred fewer cals each day maybe
