    Central Lancs Half - Preston

    I'm entered for this on Sunday

    just wondered if anybody knows whether the roads are OK (free from ice) in the Catforth area?

    hopefully it will go ahead...

    roads all ok this way at the mo Daz, smidgeons of ice left on pavements but clear otherwise

    Lancs Half is postponed - ice on the course

    how long has this poxy flipping weather been going on?!

    Its very difficult for race organisers while the weather is like this. I did the Dave Clarke 5 yesterday which was shortened because of ice on the course but them altered again while the race was in progress. Not sure in this day and age how the organiser would have stood if someone had slipped on the ice and been injured

    I understand it wasn't the whole course that was a problem. Just bits and pieces!

    Brilliant Swoop but i guess only us old gits will get that one. It finished up being the Dave Clarke 5.6 which doesnt quite have the same ring to it

    Penine 10k postponed as well today. Correct decision but annoying as it was
    -9 when i warmed the car up to actually get there. Can't blame Halifax Harriers for calling it off....
