Lady needed for needed for AR

We have entered a team in the Adidas Terrex 400km (http://www.adidas-ar.com/) adventure race which will take place in August this year in the lakes.

Unfortunately as yet we have been unable to enlist the required female team member. The disciplines include running/trekking, biking, kayaking (sit on tops) and some climbing/scrambling.

We are very definitely mid pack blokes who just want to finish the 400k route without getting timed out or diverted onto a shorter course.

We are based in Derbyshire and Lancashire but have previously raced successfully with friends who have not been local. If you are interested in joining our team please email me separately and we can discuss further.

Agree with socks- I like the idea and could do all the disciplines but can't pay that much for a couple of days fun!

I could be interested, but have never done any kayakking before and would prefer to use a x-bike over a MTB... Ok, yes, I am difficult

I'm with Karen and Socks, I have done some adventure racing and really enjoy the open adventure races, but the costs are eye watering.

Hi All

I completely agree about the costs but it is an unsupported race so part of the £300 odd quid entry we anticipate will cover food that you would be paying for anyway and diesel and food for a support team so it is kind of swings and roundabouts.

It is also the first expedition length race for 3 years in the UK and they have a habit of being run and then disappearing due to the costs involved so the opportunity may not arise for a while.
