    Re: Fiendsdale or Really Wild

Looking like Wild Boar then. Ras Yr Aran was the plan but it's another 45 minutes or so further than the other races. I've done the other 2 so second in the series at the moment but Richard Roberts will run and he's got around 6 minutes on me after the first 2 races.

If my parents leave their discovery fueled up I may be tempted to drive across from Sheffield otherwise it's too expensive a trip. I'm in Sheffield looking after their dogs as they are in Italy so using their fuel is justified..:-)

    Hi IanR,

I think the Wolf'sPit race will be a good hard addition to the calendar if you're looking for an A short.

Fairly rough running, not much path/track and a couple of proper climbs - I think it would suit you.

Anyhow, may see you there - have you got your Jura entry in yet?

There's also Chapelgill if you fancy something short and sharp and the Milford 21 (Cannock Chase) if you don't.

Hope to be at Fiendsdale - sent my entry off in the post today so wait to hear if I get in. Drastic limit (100 runners) this time according to the Bowland Fell Runners web site.

Also waiting to see if I'm in Fiendsdale ~ Came in near back of field last year, found the last climb really tough. (If I am in, i'll have to get my skates on ~ not as many people to follow )
Do you know the Muffin Man?

Really Wild Boar is worth the trip if you haven't already made up your mind.
Fitness can't be stored. It must be earned over and over, indefinitely.

Just realised where the RWB race is, thought it was further south, I can get to Ras Yr Aran in a similar time. I'll leave it I reckon.

    Really Wild Boar

Big thanks to Debbie and Garry for organising a great event, and although only a smallish field still top class.
