    Re: Waterproof trousers?

I just bought cheap roll up ones from go outdoors, they fit in a smallish pack and seem to do well enough. They were about a tenner I think

You'll never wear them anyway and if you do you'll neither know nor care what label they have on them, or what they weigh

    Re: Waterproof trousers?

Got given some craft wind pants for xmas as puppy ate my regatta ones (never used just masking taped into a ball for bumbag use) they were sold to my brother a waterproof but they are not and will not meet kit regs. Not sure whether to splash out on OMM pants which I may never use of go pack to regatta to meet kit regs

Good call Derby. I have some and they have only been used in anger once. If you are a tackle tart you can shell out a lot more for a pair you will rarely use.

These look great - I much prefer NOT to have the extra bulk and weight of zips. What is the sizing like?

    Re: Waterproof trousers?

I bought a pair of these - meet kit requirements, good price, not too bulky - have worn them a couple of times in the wet - do not keep you dry, presumably because of sweat, rather baggy, so act like a sail in wind, not very comfortable to run in as are "stiff" - ended up buying OMMs - much better all round. You get what you pay for.

At this stage I just want something that I can put in my bumbag rather than wear seriously

    waterproof trousers - advice

Happy winner of some Amazon vouchers(£90)
    Need some OMM-suitable waterproof trousers.
    Time to splash out:

OMM Kamleika £90 vs Montane Atomic DT £50

Anything to really recommend the OMM over the Montane, at that price?

Or is there another choice(Berghaus Paclite?)

I have a cheap Karrimor pair, but would not like to trust them unless I had to. I know they'd pass a kit check, but I'd be happier knowing I was going to properly dry aswell

Interested to hear, thanks. Couldn't find a similar, current thread
