Can't compare apples with pears really. 3 layer gore-tex of similar weight to gelanots will be just as friable. I have matching Sprayaway gore-tex Torridon Jacket and overtrousers which I bought 24 years ago when I lived in Blackburn. Still fine, except need to send jacket for retaping to LSR (always the jacket, never the trousers eh). But I could never pack them down into a bumbag, or run comfortably with them.

Love it. Been there, done that, good description
The only workout you'll ever regret is the one you didn't do.

Inov8 Race pant 150, are my waterproof "run-in" trouser of choice. Only criticism would be they can be a bit loose round the waist.
    Good going down !!

Has anyone tried/had experience with the Regatta Men's stormbreak waterproof trousers and if they meet the requirements? Budget this month does dictate with needing them for a race in just over a week.

no experience but if they are full length, sold as waterproof and have taped seams then they should pass..
