    inov8 roclite 312 gtx

has anyone had any problems with these shoes?
i bought a pair begining of dec,
at first felt good and nice to have dry feet
the outer have just rotted away after just 15 runs?
am i the only one with this problem?
the shop have sent them back as said unable to refund or exchange without a reciept,
    as per inov8 instructions.
will keep you informed of progress.
i have another 4 pairs of different models of inov8,there ok.

    Disintegrated?
If they are faulty we would replace them.
I will ask our returns manager.

I have used my 312 gtx for around a dozen runs now & love them. However, the tops of both shoes have gained what look like water marks. I wasn't expecting this with gore-tex. Is this the area where you have your problem ? It will be interesting to see what happens to mine over the coming weeks !

they started to come apart ever so slightly around the joins, then they just started to disintergrate around the joint. it was as though they were made of tissue paper such was the rate the fabric came apart.
ironic thing is that they were the most comftable off road shoe i have worn in a long time and were serving me well in the snow.

I agree, mine have been fantastic in the snow. Did 11 miles yesterday & my feet were bone dry when I got back.

Are you putting them on or under a radiator when you get back from your runs ? I just pad mine with newspaper (if wet inside) & leave in the garage for next time. If you are, this could be the problem as they are best left to dry naturally.

same, stuff with newspaper and leave in garage.

wondering if its the glue that has an adverse effect on the fabric?

i have worn the shoes 18 times, covering runs from 50 minutes to 3 hours.
they first started coming away at the joint after 5 runs, but it was only minor, then it just seemed to escalate.
yes i know, sad that i record such things in my diary.
if i had owned and worn them more i would have expected it.
will see what is said when and if they get back to me.

Got a love/hate relationship with these at the moment. The mesh always starts to go at around 200 miles. Then they start leaking - these are supposed to be goretex. As they are around £100 I don't feel I'm getting value for money. Insider's views on this would be interesting. I always dry them by putting newspaper inside them & not putting them by a radiator. And when they are dry I gently brush the mud off. Love the shoes. I can wear them straight from the box & do 25 miles without so much as a blister. Dilemma. Change brand or stick with what I know.

my replacement eventually did the same,
ended up binning them and put it down to experience and ensure not to buy ever again.
sure could have pushed it but couldnt be arsed with the hassle again.
