I do hope Ajax beat that 'orrible lot on Wednesday!
I do hope Ajax beat that 'orrible lot on Wednesday!
After last night's events in Manchester, the above statement sounds bad.
José wins again.
Not the best football, but it works.
Winning ugly is better than losing playing entertaining.
Poor game. Despite the commentary team's efforts to continuously convince everyone that "United are in complete control here"..... Let's face it, they got a lucky goal, and although Ajax were hardly tearing them apart I the first half, they were certainly dominant and United were lumping it forward hoping for a break.
The bigger scandal for me, is why teams who come 3rd in the Premier League go straight into the group stages, whilst champions from established nations such as Serbia, Croatia, Czech, etc, have to play multiple qualifiers... UEFA really have got a lot to answer for when you look at the state of european competition. Still they don't care as long as the money is rolling in at the top level.
Another little club joins the big boys league.
Like Burnley, Bournemouth etc Huddersfield are a small outfit in new territory.
They have done a great job getting there and just need a system to maintain it now.
Anyone backing the tartan army tomorrow night?
Well done Scotland.
England???
I didn't see the game but what a let off, 93rd minute Fergie time / Beckham special.
Poor result with pundits giving excuses of players tired after a long season and their minds elsewhere as they want to be with their families on holiday. Pathetic.
Well done to England U20 team on winning the world cup.
Captained by ex Leeds lad Lewis Cook.
