When we won it in 2013, we had the worst defence of the top 4 but the best attack. Fergie played to our strength, Moyes tried to turn us into a defensive side when we didn't have the personnel. You're not factoring in the effect of the manager, who has made good players look poor this season by being a poor tactician.

If true thats a huge signing... if Shaw happens, which seems to be on the cards, just a center back and we'll be in fine fettle... a center half isn't essential as we have 4..

It'll be interesting what happens with Valencia, he could be a superb wing back...
