Have any of you out there been lucky enough to run this in N. Island, NZ? Good fun?

And last year 57 runners stared and 7 of these didn't finish. Winning time was 4h:48m.

yep - raced it back in 2006 - was an awesome race - tough race in what can be very hot conditions - I think we had to start with 2L water from each checkpoint - amazing scenery - would definately go back for this one

Ta for that, ace blog and the photos make me want to go! I see that it's coming up in April, but just back from NZ (s island) so I've used my turn up.
