    Re: Vanessa Chappell Wed 26.5

just been eyeing up the route map, and looks right up my street - ascent broken into 3 climbs, almost no flat whatsoever, this is the stuff!

have any clubs got this as a champs race?

hope it gets a good turn-out to celebrate it's return...

I am looking forward to it, especially the climbs. The descents are quite good too.
There are a few flattish sections, eg along the road early on, along the bottom of Park Moor after the descent from Bowstones and towards the end above Black Rocks. Should be very fast if it stays dry.
    See you there Daz.

    See you there Daz.
even the flattish sections look to have a bit of a slope to them - bliss!

Top class! Great race - most 'enjoyable' .

Entertaining last decent on the damp grass (particularly at the top) - note to self, more down hill training required

Have got Man Flu or Blue/Green Algae poisoning from Keswick Triathlon in Derwentwater.

Gutted to miss it, hopefully the race is here to stay.
Its better to have fought and lost, than not have fought at all.

This was Clare and Sarah's first attempt at race organising. What a top job they did. I only heard really positive feedback about the race afterwards.

A very welcome return to the calendar for a lot of people I think.
