Hopey got married in the lakes, have you not asked him You can get married almost anywhere now j as long as they can get a civil marriage licence, not like back in my day
I got married at the little church in Tosside, tiny place, great location and a pub next door for a quick drink before the bride arrived. Had reception in Settle, big hotel did decent deal as we didnt want to spend a fortune. Good place as lots of guests stayed in different settle pubs etc night before. Also convenient if your best man was working in france until lunchtime the day before the wedding. He arrived by 9 the night before
Barley Village Hall is available to hire for weddings

The girls who run the Cabin on Barley car park do outside catering too.
(means you can also have a little jog round ftop before your party!)
Cracoe village hall in the Dales is excellent - we sent there for a family party last year. Really good.
Went to a cracking wedding reception in The Hawkshead Brewery Beer Hall in Staveley late last year.
Next door to Wilf's with a door connecting the two, so that you can get food through from Wilf's and beer straight from the Brewery. Live music and dancing and plenty to do on the day before (or the day after)
