Ooops, no I'm not. Got my dates wrong, can't do complicated things.

It's actually this Friday 5th I'm up there. Bent my knee the wrong way on the moors on Sunday though, so I will just be shuffling round the course before it gets dark.

That'd be great Huw. Can't do this Friday after all, so if you do another recce, let me know.

    Have fun on Friday!

Five of us did this in much better than expected conditions. Steve, Baggins, Cookie, Rob and myself. Great company.
Definitely some better lines to take than others in the first half. Hope I can remember all the advice.
Think I'm happy all the way to Grassmoor. From there to Robinson is 'interesting' and I'll be hoping to go around again before the day.
Lots of snow still around a little higher up and reckon the course will look quite different on race day.
We all agreed this could be a right tricky so-and-so in low cloud.

Start to finish was 5:50, stopping at Newlands Hause for Wynn's homemade soup and cake - god bless her!

As I was unable to make it on the 5th, I went round the route on my own on Sunday in glorious weather. Really enjoyed it, although it might have been even better if I'd had a cup of tea at Newlands Hause!

Well the direct off Grasmoor is a no go, from Whiteless Pike I could "see" a trod across the scree but it never turned up when I got there

Yes. It may become more obvious when there's no snow about. The way we took didn't seem too bad though.

There was no snow there the way we went was the best.

Did the trod from High Spy again, if in doubt take the lower line, flipping hell what a fast route my legs couldn't keep up

I'm working on Saturday so won't be able to make it

If you do go round try Causey direct as thats the way the Causey Pike race goes ie up Rowling End.
