    Quiet revolution

Quiet revolution, if we want to make a difference do our bit..... change bank, buy different chocolate...chip away at the system. These institutions spend millions on advertising to get us on board. Go elsewhere, no marches, protests, pickets, a quiet revolution that is all that is needed it will bring them to their knees.

You're right DHT. This post has made me see the light. I've been a Mars man for years now, but I'm changing to Snickers. I'll also change to Natwest from HSBC. Down with these capitalist pigs. Viva la revolution!

I wholeheartedly agree with consumer power but we are clearly a minority because the big institutions obviously don't care.

I am running out of financial institutions who even treat me like a human being let alone a valued customer and they have MY money; I'm not borrowing theirs. Two call centres recently refused to talk to me because I don't telephone bank; when I asked one how to register they refused to tell me on grounds of security. When I figure the process I'll empty my account, tell all of you and my family and friends but I doubt this will make any difference.

Just to show balance, however, the call centre staff for NS&I have always been charming and the telephone queuing system is painless.
