    Hello...

Having been a peruser of this forum for the last few months (picking up lots interesting info and tips!) I thought it was time I joined in a bit.

I run on the fells, but not competitively. I started orienteering a year or so ago and did a few mountain marathons last year. I do intend on having a bash at some fell races, but haven't got round to it yet.

I've put in an entry for the Fellsman this year, so I'm trying to get as many miles in as possible off the roads at the moment. Should be running the Yorkshire 3 Peaks and Lyke Wake Walk between now and then to get in some practice at abject suffering! If I survive all that I'll be going for a good OMM in October and a BGR in 2011.

Was hoping to do the HPM, but my team didn't get a place. Good luck to anyone who is doing it!

Hank's not my real name by the way, I just thought it sounded good. A bit like Clint Eastwood. Kind of. Anyway...

Wasn't that Cliff? As in Richard. Or am I missing something???

Currently living in Leeds, so not exactly spoilt for choice in terms of clubs on the doorstep. Hopefully moving Ilkley way in the spring/summer. Calder Valley any good then?

Surely Ilkley Harriers would be the obvious choice (No i'm not a member but why go from Ilkley to Mytholmroyd on a weekday evening when you have so much on your doorstep?)

    Oh and welcome Hank

    Re: Hello...

No, silly. Hank, as in Hank Marvin (starving), main man of Cliff Richard's Shadows (and DJ Mike Reid look-a-likey...full of contemporary references this post!).

    Hello Hank, btw.
