Smile Newbie Wanting to Enter Events

    Hi Folks
Registered a while ago but really a newbie on here.
Not done any Fell races before but looking at giving it a go.
I live on Cannock chase and do plenty of hill training there. I know they are not big hills!
Done loads of LDWA events and run most of the route.
There is an events this weekend CLOUD NINE in congleton.
Don't want to out of my depth!
Are all Fell runners super quick all the way or are they mixed like the runners in the LDWA events?

The great thing about fell races (even English Championship races) is that nobody is out of their depth.

Just go along and enjoy it.

    Hi.
The cloud 9 is a nice race. The top runners will do it in about 53 mins, however, the slowest will take about 2 hrs. It not too hilly and very well marked out so you'll not get lost.

I know it's a cliche, but it really is the taking part that counts. Go and enjoy it. You'll establish a mark for yourself and soon you'll spot the runners in your ball-park that you want to beat next time. You'll find them cropping up time after time. I'm still competing with old muckers from the 70s.

Just noticed the event was this weekend, do tell what happened.
