Extra rant. I hardly drink water at all. My fluid intake is almost entirely tea, coffee, alot of beer, some wine and the occasional malt whisky. By modern thinking I should have died of dehydration in about 1982.

Oh good, I thought it was just me that got annoyed with this. I've seen runners in 10ks with a couple of gels taped to their wrists! I know everybody has different needs but come on...
Rhys, in average conditions I only take water out if running over eleven or twelve miles. Fifteen miles plus I might take out a few jelly babies or squares of Kendal Mint Cake. Anything longer than that and I'll stick a Nuun tablet into my water (although they didn't do much good this last Saturday) and re-appraise the food side of things, perhaps take a banana or some chocolate.
Be Humble. Sit Down.
Oh, and just a personal thing, but I hate running with a hydration bladder. Puts me off.
Be Humble. Sit Down.
Almost certainly, though I've never actually tried.
