JB, a run organised by runners for runners. Low key, low cost event. Great atmosphere. Trail route, well marked, some parts (Loch Lomonside) rough under foot. Undulating all the way really, wouldn't say its hilly as most of the hills are small and gentle.

It's semi supported, so you leave bags at the start and they drop off your food back at specified locations along the route.

Last time cost £12 which is superb for what is organised for you.

I joined in the frenzy for Three Peaks places, but might end up doing this low key Highland Fling thingmy instead (same day - 26th April), and avoid the scrum at Horton-in-Ribblesdale.

It's at a nice time for a WHW warm up, allowing plenty of time for recovery, if there's entries still available then Sarah and I will probably try to do it, if we can organise dog sitters. Glorious day last year, a bit warm in places but not far off perfect conditions.

April 28/29 was the best weather of the entire year in Scotland this year!

I hope Sarah's ankle is on the mend post Rhinogs.

She's getting better, done quite a bit of road riding. She's out of the cross country this weekend which means she can't qualify for the series so she's a bit annoyed about that, but other than that she's OK, nothing broken, or snapped which the physio though she was lucky to avoid any more serious damage. A few weeks off running at this time of year is probably no bad thing. She's planning on running today so is on the mend.
