    BG Leg 4 March 27 or 28?

Weather permitting, I'd like to recce Leg 4 of the Bob Graham Round next weekend, probably parking at Seathwaite, going over to Wasdale via Styhead Tarn to get to the start of the Leg. Haven't worked out about getting back to the car yet, but if all else fails we could always just jog down beside the road from Honister.

Would anyone like to join me?

I'd be particularly glad of being shown any route tips from someone who's done it before.

If it was the sunday i'd be interested in tagging along.
Unforunately i don't know this leg at all so wouldn't be much use for route tips.

You could always go straight down from Grey Knotts. Just head directly east from the summit (north of Raven Crag), aiming for the top of Newhouse Gill. There's a stile over the wall there, then a path heads pretty much straight down to Seathwaite.

Alas I'm working both days, GB's suggestion of coming off Grey Knotts is the best way back to the car. There should be others able to join in on the Sunday if they've come up for the Causey race on the Saturday perhaps?
    A circular route mostly downhill

You could park at Honister, pick up Moses Trod to Beck Head and down to Wasdale. That way you will be back to the car at the end.

This is the way I do it when I support on leg 4.

A lot of the time for training I'll just park at Wasdale and run back via Moses trod usually at the col before Brandreth.

Right, we'll start at Honister then - sounds a much better idea.

Cantona - Sunday's fine with me.

Anyone else want to come along?

Sorry you can't make it Chris. Perhaps another time?

    Cantona - you have mail!

But basically - how about 9ish at Honister? (and remember that the clocks go forward this weekend!)
