    Re: Today's Training

8 miles on kinder yesterday afternoon, straight up the side from blackden barn, around the north edge, across the top towards the downfall. Turned around just short as I was running late, then got snowed on on the way back.

2nd run of the day was a speedy mile and a bit to the chippy and back as my wife had hunger pangs!

5k interval training on the Monsal Trail. So good to be injury free and and training again instead of reading this thread with wishful thinking :-)

Did some running on the Monsal trail on Sat and Sunday.

    10 miles and 2000ft

Not been feeling well recently after three days on a DofE training expedition but wanted to get a proper run in.

Set off from Midhope but felt terrible( chesty cough and a sore Calf), decided to to just keep going and explore rather than go for the run I'd planned, Took indirect lines to some of my fav spots and found one artilliary shell, a nose cone of a mortar(which wore a whole in my Sac and fell out less than a mile from the car (
Took in 3 geochaches, 2 bomb craters, 3 aircraft wrecks, 1 whisky stop, 2 springs, 1 stone(Iron?) age burial site, one rare plant 2 Ponds a number of Stones and a shooting range. Didn't see a soul until the track back to the car, felt much better for a trip out.

got back just as it started to rain.

Did a local 5 mile road race, second home for my club, but not fun, too intensive at that short mileage but sure it will do me good to push to my limits.

15mile 4000' climb. Holme Moss Fell race route (minus track at start/end). Very wet underfoot with strong winds and rain for first 2 hours, then sun came out. Still cold though (hat and gloves nearly all way round). Three and a half hours. Now to get the peat stains out of my kit and off me!
