Last run before a trip to the Lakes last night. Always nice when you can say that.
8.7 miles around one of Leicestershire's hillier parts (everything's relative!).

5.5 mile run up Penrith Beacon in the drizzle before work. Missed a club run in sunshine tonight though:thunbdown:. Never mind best to take it easy before three shires race on Sat.
I managed a not very hilly, but very enjoyable, and very wet, run through the woods and back over the moor today. Only about 5 mile but it was just to test my hip/thigh really, which has been playing up for ages. A bit of good old NHS physio seems to be helping though, so it's Rombalds Romp for me on saturday!
A slightly damp 11 miles and 995 ft on footpaths and bridleways in East Yorkshire, and a PB for the route.
A brilliant 10 miler over the moors from work in great Yorkshire weather. Fog, drizzle & wind. Bring on winter.
I'm currently in Sweden doing an artist's residency and have discovered some fantastic forests for a spot of trail running. Birch, oak and pine mainly and last night I managed to get almost 7 miles and 870' in before it got dark. Its a real mixture of unpaved wide tracks (some are even lit by streetlamps for 'leisure activities') stony tracks, grassy paths and some gorgeous rooty and windy tiny trails in the woods. I'm staying next to a rocky ridge so I can get some ascent in too. Loving it!!
