    Re: Today's Training

49 mins, 4 miles from the door this afternoon through the woods around the park and a bit of cross fit halfway. Found a better route for getting to the park and on way to the hills via some public footpaths I didnt realise joined up! Loving the box jumps at the mo!
It is my goal to run every day from now on, so I am easing into it with short runs to get my body used to the idea! I have also started a training diary to keep track of my progress.

    Re: Today's Training

Not as frisky as last Sunday. 10.25 at 8:54s (1545 ft of ascent by Garmin). Had planned another 15 miler, but have been feeling tired this week. Probably something to do with the cold (weather), but here's a question. Has anyone been able to work out with any reliability their optimum training load, or as I suspect do other people find there are too many variables (weather, sleep, work, other stuff etc.)?

    Re: Today's Training

I GPS'd the 3 hills run as 9.2 miles.. but no doubt didn't take optimum routes...

Good race, ice wasn't too bad, only a few shin scrapers.. never been that side of Margery Hill

pm: 6 miles up Win Hill at dusk/dark.. cold night..

15 miles today, 10 yesterday, feeling pretty recovered already.

If you recorded your track Iain send it to the webmaster and he'll add it to the results/report

    Re: Today's Training

Did 14 on Sunday up the Monsal Trail and back home, going out for a more cross country 7 from work here in Bakewell at 5pm looks abit chilly out there. Training in earnest for the GG. Did half of the route two weeks ago, found it difficult to get from the last stile to the top of Longstone Moor think I lost the path as it was dark by 5pm. The council have gone and put tarmac on Cherpit Lane which leads down to Great Longstone......I guess its to stop the bikers wanting to go up there, it was very rutted.

Toads mouth stone, Winyards Nick, Higger Tor and back. Running through ice covered puddles and mud except for the one that was solid where I did a Bambi before landing on my bum :-). Beautiful day out!!
