Atop Simons Seat for 8 a.m this morning, beautiful it was too.
Easy 4.1 this morning.. up to Britania Mines and back.. along Miners track. Stunning morning..
back to 80-90 mile weeks quicker than I thought I would be, 15 Saturday (12 and 3), 17.5 Sunday (Rab MMM), 10 yesterday (6 + 4), and I'll do 14-16 in total today.
Running doubles makes higher mileage so much easier on the body, but feeling motivated at the moment, for which I can only thank Eryri.. they are a great club for that..
18 miles done in total Monday and Tuesday trying to increase the miles with the Grindleford Gallop the 9th of March and generally get hill fit. Any suggestions for hill strength.......just hills and hills I guess??

Getting a bit frustrated this week, I had a hill run planned for Tuesday morning but then had to go into work early, so I was determined to get some climbing in today. When I woke the rain and wind were lashing round the house. Still that is what Gortex is for, so completely covered in Gortex including my new gortex ski gloves I headed for the hill with my two German Wire hair pointer dogs. On the lower levels my feet were numb from running though the burns that I would normally jump over, white finger settled in on two of my right fingers and the rain sleet stung my eyes, still I thought once I start climbing hard I will warm up.
I got up onto the first ridge and the wind nearly took of my feet the two dogs were being blown side ways across the hill, errmm time for a sharp exit I thought:w00t:. I headed back down to some local woods and did two laps in the shelter of the trees.
Perhaps I will get some climbing in at the weekend.

12.2miles and 3500ft, thoroughly enjoyable despite the incessant rain
Much flooding and even a flaming Land Rover wreck on the drive to and from.
