Hail in the Isle of Man too. A 9.5mile trundle around some of the big hills this morning - 3780ft. Not a soul about.

    7 miles and 4144ft ascent.

Bit sluggish recovering from a bout of man flu.

And an easy hour on a turbo trainer just spinning the legs.

Its holiday time so a week of high mileage as a result of some new targets that appeared earlier this week..

Tuesday: am: 8,7 miles steady. pm: 4 mile trail run, all 7-8 min miles on the flat..
Wednesday: 13.3 miles trail run hill rep session.. 8 nice trail hills.. averaged 7:30 for session.
Thursday: 20.35 miles, 28 C temps.. horridly hard run in heat and humidity.. 6:55 pace but really struggled.. dunking in fountains along the way.

103 miles in past 7 days so a nice chunk of mileage.. easy day today, 10-12 max over 2 runs and harder 12-14 tomorrow.

12 hill reps - on the steepest hill in Suffolk - 1,100 ft of up/down, just over 6 miles, 8.40/mile. The things we have to do in the East.

15.5 miles and 4469ft ascent for me. Well on my way to a 70m 16500ft week.

Show off.. hilly week for me.. may hit 5000ft... almost unheard of in recent months..

quite surprised how I've felt on the hills regardless.. not done anything steep but at least the runnable climbs 50-200m long have been fine still.

    What a brilliant week.

71miles and 16483ft, I'm going to eat ice cream until I'm sick.
