Well done to this thread's most prolific runner, just found from the Irunfar feed on facebook that Iain got 4th in the JFK race, I believe he went just under 6 hours too!

Thanks all, brilliant race.. lovely 15 miles to start as the rose over the appalachia.. beautiful trail running, then down to a canal and 26.3 miles along a very very slightly climbing canal path.. then 8.5 miles of undulating road..

5:57 pace.. good field too, just behind Mike Wardian... but think he may have been tired. Its a strange race.. to win you need good road speed.. the guys were all 6:10-6:15 30 miles in whereas I dropped off back to 6:30-6:50 pace.. and then held that to move through to 4th as people blew..

    Great run Iain!

Managed 4 miles this week very slow on Friday night. Was a nice run though. I just wasn't inspired to run this week, still had 12 hours down the gym though! It's all conditioning. A lot of drills and circuits all help.

Commondale fell race today - a fricking fast one if not particularly hilly. 8 miles in 63 minutes with Hazzer getting first dog

Great training for our solo runs

Another week bringing bikes and stretching into the mix.

45m 11000ft, I've even done some more speed work. I'll cut that out if I start seeing improvements, obviously.

4 sessions on the Turbo trainer, 40min on the bike, and 20 min of stretch and strength exercises.

Good fun week, really enjoying it a the moment. Hopefully going to get a high volume week in this week, I may need to call on MINCE PIES to fuel this one.

    Well done Iain.

21 miles and 6k ft of ups and downs on Saturday exploring kinder scout Saturday. 10 miles on really sore legs yesterday.

Hope to see some improvements soon.
