    Good luck DT....

Fartlek session today.... 5 x 2minutes and 5 x 1 minute.... so a shorter session than usual, and out on the grass, to give a slightly easier session than normal, due to various races over the bank hol weekend...

Worked quite hard... no point turning up and not putting the effort in... a couple of guys tried to latch onto me, so I took them up the steep banks which got them off my tail... they stopped following me after that!

    Total distance tonight 7 miles.

Walk/run to the Outwoods this evening. I'm still not back in proper training from my latest calf injury, but I'd eaten too much and was desperate to get out for a bit of exercise, intending only a brisk walk. But the legs repeatedly decided to start running, so about two-thirds of the distance was done at a (rather slow) run. And the calf behaved itself.

[Reminder to self: running is better done just before dinner, not just after.]

A slow 10km over the Clent hills this evening with just over 600m ascent. Not a great pace but enjoyed having the hills to myself after this afternoon's deluge. Just me, a few sheep, 2 jays and a lone bunny to note.

Steady 8.5 mile club run tonight.... there was a 2.1 mile “time trial” on the middle section but I kept things relatively sensible, with only a moderate increase in pace over this section. Keeping things steady before the South Mynd Tour on Sunday.

Blimey. Never thought of it that way but I suppose so. If you know where, you can easily pack in 750m climb in a 15km run without repeating a path. I usually aim for 500m in a run and it's normally around the 10k mark. Got it down to a fine art! 😁
