23 hard heathery miles around the upper Derwent watershed. 3,500ft. with Matt Hunt

From Langsett to Mickledon pond -Skarratt stone- 1894 stone- Swains head- Barrow stones- Source of Derwent- Shooting cabin LSClough-Horse Stone-Crowstones- Lord Edward Howard spring-past SS to Howden clough-direct to High stones- Marg Hill- Outer edge- and back to langsett. taking in 2 aircraft wrecks and 5 tea plants and the source sign.

Very tough going through the thick heather with so much snow.

    Time for a bath.

Last night's training, 26.2 miles starting at midnight including a speed session through bandit country (Mixenden, for anyone thats heard of it) with a police helicopter for company, shining its spotlight round the area, glad i didn't bump into whoever they were after, or were they after me

20miles on roads but with 2000ft of climb (out & back route to the top of Holme Moss from home). V. cold out first thing and the occasional snowy flurry. Bit of a plod but managed to get going at a decent pace in the end.

More cycling today, 80 hilly miles up Wharfedale, over into Coverdale and back via Lofthouse/Pateley Bridge/Greenhow. Was probably a bit much really in the cold, but was nice to see some proper deep snow at the top of Park Rash.

    Re: Today's Training

Ran down to the shop to take the DVD back....!

Then had to climb back up the hill to het home....

Made it just over 30 mins to shake the lethargy out of the legs following yesterday's long run.
