    Re: Today's Training

61 miles on road bike with two mates. Up over moors through Heptonstall, Colne, at this point the heavens opened, and my mate had two flats in quick sucession, onward through Barrowford towards Whalley, refuel in Padiham. Turn right and up and down to Tod, other mate started to throw up at this point, food poisoning all week, carried on like a good un, though. Into Hebden Bridge, then up to Blackshaw Head via Church Lane (Steep!) Back down through Colden, through Hebden, Mytholmroyd, and onto Sowerby Bridge and a pint of Guinness that turned into two at The Works. Excellent ride with good company in shit weather, what could be better?
    Hills and Guinness!

    Re: Today's Training

After a mediocre week of 2 x 3 milers on the canal towpath and a 4.5 miler over Outwood trail, pleased to get a long run in.

Up the ramp to Winter Hill (very wet), down the road, then up Matchmoor Lane, on to Collier Mill Rd/Scout Rd and back to the Wrights Arms. 9 miles, 79 mins. ....yes, I realise that 9 miles isn't considered to be long by a lot of people!

    Mostly road, mostly wet. Enjoyed.

I'm on for reccying Ravenstones JD. 13th April is the only Sunday I've got free, but Disco Stan can't make that (some bleating about summat in London, wasn't listening). Any dates in mind. I can do mid week, as can Stevie C.
