    Re: Today's Training

1st sess since mara, did 4 miles including, 6 hills all 1-2 minutes, with double that rest. Felt steady on all though not light or fast, but pleased with pushing a bit. Definitely on the up and feeling good so I'll try a tempo on the club hill run on Wed.

Is it meant to be this hard?

1 mile trot home from workmates house, still windy out there

That's more like a Commando training course than a week off

    Thumbs up Re: Today's Training

'twas Helvellyn for me on Sunday 2 Pacman

so today have decided to take no heed of my aching legs and am aiming to jog to track ( 4 miles ), and if feel good when I get there do some parlofs to squeeze out the lactic acid and grit from Helvellyn
And the universe slide from my side.......

Easy 5 miles - down to towpath, around Bramley Fall Woods & back via hilly bridleway & road.

    I'm Back

Had a great time in Scotland. Nearly all solo and apart from the first four hours of day 1 glorious sunshine.

    Total for the 3.5 days

    76 miles
    26,500 ft
15 Munros plus various tops and Corbetts

Campsite were full of scots and continental camper vans but the hills were empty

Best of the lot was a 24 mile trip round Glen Lochay with 11,500ft which took just over 8 hours. The first four hours in thick fog with a chilling wind was excellent nav practice. Did 5 munros and didn't see a soul until the last hill.

Even saw an otter, the first i've seen in 25 years of walking the Scottish hills!! superb I'll post the others animals on the wildlife thread.

7 kms temporun on tarmac, in the pooring rain. Legs still a bit sore after Sundays fell race, but not too dissatisfied with the effort!
