Just a short session in the gym. 10k on the bike and 5k on the treadmill with a few minutes on the stairmaster whilst waiting for a treadmill.

    Not quite running.

Did 30 seriously rapid lengths of breathstroke.....over-took everyone in the pool...even got competative and had to over-take a woman doing front crawl.

Pushed myself a little too hard and felt a little ill afterwards.

Fox & Hounds Fell race last night (8.9m 1550ft climb)

A good test only seven weeks after walking the dog was painful. Set off at around 70% but was giving it everything at the finish. (Former) injuries held up fine, with no after effects this morning
Frequent but moderate workouts on a consistent basis are the key to success

Well, since i decided to go for a run...i decided to make the most of it and did 9 miles.

Knees went as soon as i left the door but 5 minutes later i felt amazing and plodded on.
This rain we've been having has really loosened up all the ground and it was like a cross country race though all the fields.

Legs started to go knackered around the 7 mile mark but all in all it felt brilliant to get out and go for a run. 1hr 22.

Just have to see how my knees fair for the next few hours and days.

NOTE TO SELF - Tape nipples up when wearing my pony vest in future! Ouch.

Another short session in the gym. 20k on the bike and 6k on the treadmill. Knee doesn't seem to like anything above a jogging pace.
