Chuffing brilliant though.

All mountains run in shorts - none of this mamby pamby tights, leggings or waterproof trousers mallarky.

Scafell Pike - a bit parky

Good if very rough race in last nights summer series

8k and 650ft around Back tor and Abbey Brook. some fierce climbs. lots of route choices but mine this time let me down as I went from first to 5th between two cp but finished 4th.

Didn't stop there though as one runner went missing! and 4 of us set about reversing the route. He turned up though after 40 minutes looking a little sheepish. he'd missed a path junction at speed! easily done if you don't know the area.

    so + 4k and 450ft

I'll second that! Real lung buster going up to Berrister's I felt, some great toe work thrutching up the banking.

Glad the missing runner turned up! Luckily I was in the pack so had Nicky & Andy shouting behind me which way to go! I'll put me compass away then...

actually only did 20 minutes at a steady pace to get the 'feel' of the thing

Did 30 mins this morning on Turbo. 5 mins warm up followed by ramping up in 2.30 intervals up to max. before dropping down and starting again. Did this three times

Felt very dizzy near the end. tis the devils work.

Runningwith plumbum and Brent this evening. PB where are you???

Walked round sainsburys for four hours pulling rollers (the 6ft+ metal cages on wheels that carry the food/drink out onto the shop floor)
Quite a good work out really, but not for the knees.

And then got to cycle home is the pouring rain... drip drip drip
