    16.6 miles 2,100ft

HPM route from Cut Throat Bridge to Snake summit.

Passed team " 3 Ramblers and a farmers wife" ( I'll be in trouble for that) near Cutgate on their own recce.
Saw your tracks this morn along Wilferry edge? Still plenty of snow up Cut Gate.

Went up the Straddle route from blue gates with a whippersnapper this morning. Luckily he slowed down before me!

In the absence of any fells I managed 8 miles across some muddy fields and footpaths. Felt like I was running in diving boots at times with the amount of mud accumulating around my feet

Middleton-in-Teesdale to Cronkley to Micklefell to Dufton - about 20 miles (3 hours 5 mins) and a 9 mile walk with friends back up to and around High Cup Nick afterwards - lovely

4 mile XC today had hoped to be able to do the Parbold Hill race but a furniture delivery arrived much later than anticipated. Not been able to get much running in over the last 2 weeks due to a very heavy workload and Ofsted inspection.

4 recovery miles after a short lay off - hope to get more off road miles done this time around.

Which way did you go from stanage direct to wyming brook? Never been that way before!

Started this morning in the pool for five sets of 5 lengths crawl/5 lengths 'running'.

Will be hitting the hotel gym this evening for some rowing, biking and CV circuits, after a run with a weighted pack.

    There's two good ways
    1) from the cairns at Crow Chin follow left side of valley rough at first but trods appear. best done late or early in season before the dreaded Bracken get too high. I suspect this is the way Paul Went by an earlier post.
    or
    2) From High Neb 'Bus shelter' follow grouse Butts to Spot Height then wall line all the way. this is good running on short grass for most of the way.

A jaunt up Penyghent this morning.

New snow on the ground and plenty more coming down.

The Pennine Way path down (in my case today) has vanished under several substantial snow banks just before the hairpin bend. Lots of fun with an inch of new wet snow on top of hard icy old snow.
