A gentle run/plough up Cutgate with Brent. Too tired this morning to drive 2 hours for a 80 minute race in cloud and then drive back.

7 mile round trip took 1.50. It snowed the whole way again!! I'm starting to really get fed up of snow.

Not posted on this for a while, had an ok Trog despite getting lost. Then a bout of illness so a couple of low mileage feeling crap weeks.

Sun 21 - ilkley FR 5.5 miles - felt crap all way round

Mon 22 - Night time duathlon -felt much better, strongest on cycle, just missed out on 3rd overall due to a poor transition. Insulted by Biara

Tues 23rd - 8 miles club run, felt strong till last 2 miles. Met some bunch of no hoper's calling themselves wharfe something or other, they were running towards the Keighley clubhouse, some sort of wishful thinking there I think. They seem to do it most weeks, stop stare wistfully and then run back the way they came - bizarre.

    Wed 24th - Rest

Thurs 25th - 6 miles club run inc 4 1/2 mile efforts with approx 2 mins recovery between each. Knackered.

    Fri 26th - rest

Sat 27th - 19 miles hilly road run felt strong till about 16 miles

    Went round Blackcombe race route.
Plenty of snow on the top of blackcombe.
I obviously had the right lines as I followed some Montrail stud marks most of the way.
There was even some **** with a kite n snowboard getting pulled uphill as I was struggling back up to the summit from the stream jnct.
    I wasn't impressed

13ish mile circular with me missus and a couple of other ladies from KCAC. From Howarth up Top o' Stairs, Crimsworth Dean and Walshaw then back along Pennine Way via top withins and bronte waterfalls. A nice steady outing with plenty of eggy bread scoffed en route.

    Re: Today's Training

11.5 miles from Marsden up Warcock, along the old penine way over Broadhead Moss. Got bogged down up to my knees under two feet of snow. Visibility was down to 50 yards and had to work off a compass bearing as the path was obliterated by drifts up to 10ft deep in the groughs. Finally hit the A635 400 yards west of my target. A 2 mile trott along the A635 saw me at Wessenden head. Down the valley to Blakely Clough up to Swellands, over Bobus, passed Warcock and back to Marsden. 2,000 ft ish, and 2:45. God I love the snow!

I'll look out for the Ponies vest at the start.
