    Re: Today's Training

i'm really enjoying the running at the moment, wouldn't want it to happen again but getting injured and being a lot more sensible for a while has given me a nice little boost and made me quite a bit more reflective about training etc , was a little sad it started to go dark tonight! (still not got my hill legs yet though) Resting tomorrow then the Borders League at Prestatyn on Sunday

i'll risk it for a biscuit

    Another Pre Breakfast run
Back Tor- Abbey Brook- Cartledge Rocks and back.

Very hot, no wind but lovely and clear, lots of Hares.

Topless running but covered in midges sticking to the sweat

Topless running also was in order for me this morning up on Pendle, and it seemed to be a running theme with everyone except the women ( ) I met!!

2 hours or so with the pup.

Experimental run with new heel inserts. 18.5 miles, 3000ft ascent.

Experiment failed. Heels fine, big toes wrecked, assume because of the shift in pressure. Home amputation a la Sir Ranulph a possibility . Accordingly, given the permanent difference in foot position, quads are absolutely butchered too.

Lovely weather though, first topless jaunt of the year.

it is possible to over do it isn't it - didn't feel too good all yesterday after that, didn't sleep well and feel bloody battered today ... first long day out in real heat I think.

Pretty busy, I bumped into a fella who looked and spoke just like you up there today as well hehe

I see you didn't manage to make it to the Pendle Inn, we holed up in there on steak butties and some fine ale for a while
