Clive, Hebden Bridge
A proper thrashing at BMF on Tue night, as a last-min CV fitness boost for Duddon.
Seemed to work brilliantly - until I woke up with a knackered achilles.
10 miles club run tues (felt much better than the 8 miles at Austwick the day before)
5 mile club Bronte road race last night only passed by 2 people in the club who should not be able to beat me - a vast improvement from Austwick , slowly getting fitness back after a prolonged dodgy patch.
Have tweaked a muscle in top of l thigh (doesn't feel to serious) so have spent the day bonding with a bag of peas.

Rest now till Holcombe 2 Towers !!!!
You should be tired by now Pete. I was aching till yesterday after my spectating at Blencathra!! Today's training for me today consisted of painting the kitchen - 2 coats of emulsion and waxing the beams!! That should see me OK for the Ben.
Never mind my brownie point account is building up nicely!!!
7th June
club duathlon
6 miles bike (+ 12 miles there and back) 2.5 miles run.
80 minutes around Hambledon Hill area trying out my new X-Talon 212's. After a bit of lacing adjustment to suit my fat feet things went well. No discomfort or blisters which is always a bonus when trying out a new model, especially after the trouble/pain I had with the Mudclaw 330's. All I need now is a race that suits them, might have to be Skiddaw after mi hols.
