A soggy 3 and a bit miles at Fewston followed by coffee and cakes in the rain.
10 miles around Lady bowyer, tried to get up to Howden edge but was blown over 3 times. so slunk back to valley
A nice 9 miles around Black Hill from Wessenden Head. Took in the 'not so secret' trod on the summit down to Crowden Little Brook & Over Meadow Clough to the wrecks. Dropped down to Crowden Great Brook & Back to WessyThe waterfall at the top of Meadow Clough was in flow.Attachment 4124
Lovely 4 miles down by the river, it was nice and bright and cold - glad I went early, it's raining now
An invigourating 10 and a half miles down Lady Clough, up Seal Stones along the northern edge of Kinder, over Mill Hill, back t Snake Top & down to Lady Clough. My first run through snow of the season! We gained & lost 2300 ish feet. Nice to see the mountain Hare with their winter coats on.

Could not be bothered to run a few tube stops this morning, so decided to force myself out and just run two... except I missed the turn off (well it was foggy!) and found myself at West Ruislip anyway. :w00t:
WOW what a day. Fast hard race last night and legs stiff so went for a Recovery walk/run/stretch over Howden edge.
Cloud inversion all morning with a Brocken spectre. Wish I'd have taken my proper camera but valley was thick of clag. Winn Hill, Loose Hill, Mam Tor, Kinder, Bleaklow all had there heads above the blanket. only saw one group at a distance. Stunning day. If the pictures off the phone are any good I'll post soon.
all my training at the moment is either
a) gym-based during the week: mainly cross-trainer and bike, with some weights / circuits / core stuff
or
b) riding the bike at weekend - quite intense 60-70 min 'time-trial'-style riding
It will be very interesting to see whether my running has suffered - or improved even - come new year when I can start again ...
An hour of bridleway and cyclocross style mud riding, followed by a 40minute run, followed by a longer (but same route) style ride home. Very wet feet and completely numb by the time I got in.
